I featured Espo’s new Love Letter for You project a while back, but he deserves more than that. Putting in work for decades across Philly, NYC, and the world Steven Powers is a personality that has greatly affected my own work. His love for hand painted signs and rediculous wit has produced some incredible rollers, trucks, and murals throughout the years. With his sabotage on the gates of NYC storefronts in the late 90′s he amassed a collection of pieces that cannot be topped for streetside smackers, and his new mural projects are incredible. Cannot wait to see what this guy has up his sleeve, cause he never disappoints. Onto the flicks… from Graffiti.org and Flickr, and the Love Letter murals are from www.aloveletterforyou.com. High Res versions can be seen on This Flickr!

Growing up in Auckland, New Zealand, Askew has been writing since 1993. Originally an MC from a time when breaking, MC’ing, and graffiti still had some kind of connection in New Zealand, writing has since taken over his life and for good reason. While he still MC’s and produces, Askew is known for his painting. While rocking rediculous themes that would make fellas like Pose jealous and at the same time keeping his letters so fresh that Revok should be crying, Askew has been pushing the game for years now. Representing SUK (Stick Up Kids) and TMD (The Most Dedicated) Askew will be around for a while so you may as well take notes. Flicks from Graffiti.org, Ironlak.com, and Flickr (including Askew’s account, here)

Espo’s recent Love Letter For You project in North Philly has been blowin minds left and right. Philadelphia Weekly just put up a nice article on it worth checking out, you can see it here:

Nekst hails from Houston Texas and through a lot of hard work and hustling has become a household name – or as close as you come to a house hold name in graffiti. Crushing New York City, Los Angeles, and everywhere in between he’s taken this graff game to such a next level it’s not even funny. WIth throwups for miles and handstyles out the ass, this guy has paid his dues and isn’t backing down.

Straight from the Dirty South today we’re bringin the spotlight down on Atlanta, Georgia. Most people don’t think of Atlanta right off the bat when they’re thinking of hot cities with good graffiti scenes, but they certainly should. Putting out writers like Perve, Sever, Hense, Totem2, Itso, and more it would be a mistake to overlook this city of waffles, syrup, strippers, and dirty dirty rap. The cities got a good mix of bombing and piecing, illegal and legal, freights and streets, and with Marta they’ve got a transit system as well. As usual, we’ll let the flicks speak for themselves. The 156 All Starz are a monster crew that’s been putting in heavy work since the mid 1980′s. From Paris to Berlin, from Montreal to Sao Paolo to New York they’ve got a great team that consistently puts out very solid work. With writers like O’Clock, Bates, Psy, JonOne and SaneSmith on the roster how can you go wrong? But I’ll let the work speak for itself. Brace yourself, and hit the jump for more. Flicks from 12ozProphet Forums, PureGraffiti, BombingScience, and Flickr.
